Quality Assurance Program
The Quality Assurance system is under the sole control of the Quality Assurance Manager who shall ensure compliance with the requirements of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS) and the SIL Industries Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) as follows:
- By carrying out internal audits of the maintenance control system as required by section 8.2 of the SIL MPM. This is to include ensuring that the MPM remains in compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations and that changes within the company have not resulted in a need for amendments.
- By ensuring the proper documentation of the work performed using the system of work orders and inspection record sheets in accordance with section 5.6 of the MPM.
- By ensuring that maintenance releases are made only by personnel authorized by section 8.4 of the MPM.
- By ensuring that all parts and materials used during maintenance, repair, inspection and modification of aircraft and components have the required certification as required by section 9 of this manual.
- That sub-contracting of specialized and non-specialized work is carried out in accordance with section 5.4 of the MPM.
- By ensuring that the correct documentation accompanies the repair, modification or inspection carried out by a sub-contractor and that the repair, modification or inspection is certified by authorized personnel.
- By ensuring that company maintenance personnel have received the required Initial, Update, Additional and Human Factors Training as required by section 4 of the MPM.
